Hardesty Hardcore, Hardesty Trailhead, Oakridge, Oregon

Hardesty Hardcore takes place Sunday, July 26, 2026 at the Hardesty Trailhead west of Oakridge, Oregon. The event is hosted by Level 32 Racing LLC under a special use permit with the USDA Willamette National Forest and is presented as an equal opportunity outdoor recreation service provider.

Distances

  • 14M - starts and finishes at the Hardesty Trailhead
  • 5.5M - starts at South Creek Trailhead and finishes at the Hardesty Trailhead parking

The 14 mile course climbs approximately 3300 feet in the first 4.5 miles, descends about 3300 feet over the next 4 miles, then rolls for the final 5.5 miles. The 5.5 mile course runs point to point to the Hardesty Trailhead parking lot. Both distances are run entirely on single track trail. The 14 mile event has a four hour time limit; the 5.5 mile course includes gradual ascents and descents and features technical footing.

Logistics note that parking at the Hardesty Trailhead is limited. A shuttle transports 5.5 mile participants from the Hardesty Trailhead to their start because there is no parking at the 5.5 mile start. The organizer advises parking along the shoulder of Goodman Creek Road facing north with the water to the right and using pull-outs on the one-lane forest service road.

Entry fees are $50 for the 14 mile and $40 for the 5.5 mile which includes the shuttle. Youth 17 and under and adults 60 plus receive a $5 discount. Race day registration adds $5. Tech shirts are available for $18 and a limited number will be for sale on race day. Participant limits apply due to parking, shuttle capacity, and single track trail restrictions.

Awards will be presented to the overall male and female winners and to the top three in each age group. Age groups range from 14 and under through 70 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
