Happy New Year 5k 10k 15k Half Marathon - Long Beach
The Happy New Year event on January 1, 2027 offers multiple race distances along the Long Beach Shoreline Path at 5400 E Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90803. The course uses the beach path and is an open course shared with pedestrians, runners, and cyclists.
The route is marked and organized as out and back loops. Course options include shorter out and back runs and repeated loops for longer distances. An aid station is located at the turnaround at the start and finish area and provides water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and GU gels.

- 5k out and back
- 10k two 5k loops
- 15k three 5k loops
- Half marathon three 4.36 mile loops
Registration includes custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free videos, live results at finish, free photos located by bib number, cinematic race highlight reels, trophies and achievement badges for milestones, an Ascend Index ranking and Ascend Crew features, a free A Better World Running app, and an assortment of snacks and samples.
Race day registration lists prices for each distance and accepts card and several digital payment methods. Transfers are permitted by contacting the organizer and there is a no refund policy. Group discounts and volunteer entry options are available through the organizer. The half marathon has a 3 hour 15 minute time limit; early start options can be requested from the organizer.
