HANSON'S RUNNING SHOP WEDNESDAY NIGHT 5K SERIES is a mid-week running series held in Utica, Michigan. The main 5K portion takes place on the first Wednesday of each month from March through October and is based at Hanson’s Running Shop, 8409 Hall Rd, Utica, MI 48317.

The event offers multiple registration options. SERIES covers the Wednesday night 5K runs March through October plus the Bill Roney Memorial 5K, two Hanson Friday night cross country runs, Peach Festival 5K and 10K, and the Egg Nog Jog (total listed as 10 races). SERIES+ includes those events plus additional seasonal races such as Big Bird, EggNog Jog, New Year’s Resolution Run and FESTIVUS (listed as 14 races). Single monthly 5K entries are also available.

Additional event features are noted: each month supports a different charity partner and additional raffle tickets may be purchased to support that partner and enter prize drawings. A shoe vendor attends with opportunities to demo shoes and discuss shoe technology. After the 5K there are post race refreshments and a giveaway opportunity. Bibs are issued for the Wednesday Night 5K runs and bib pick-up and on-site registration take place inside the store. Registration details include a deadline to receive a custom bib on March 13.
