JRHAST 19th Annual 10k/5k Gateway City Turkey Trot
The event is a community charity run held on Thursday, November 26, 2026, Thanksgiving Day in Laredo, Texas. Proceeds from the races will go to the less fortunate in the Laredo community and surrounding areas.
Two distances are offered:
- 10K
- 5K
Awards are presented for overall male and female winners and male and female masters in both the 5K and 10K. Age-group awards for first through third place male and female are given in these brackets: 1-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Overall and masters awards are based on gun time. Age-group awards are based on chip time. No duplication of awards is allowed.
Registration opens September 2, 2026, with a staged fee schedule: early bird through October 30 is $25 and $10 for students up to 18 years; October 31 through November 15 is $30 and $10 for students up to 18 years; November 16 through November 25 is $35 for all; race day registration is $50 for all. No refunds are offered.
