About the race
The Guajolote event marks the 45th anniversary of a recurring Thanksgiving Day road race in Laredo, Texas, organized at Hamilton Trophies, 1320 Garden. The event offers timed road races for 5 km and 10 km distances and is open to participants aged 4 and up. Children 12 and under must have adult supervision while on the course.

Free parking is available at LISD Shirley Field. The first 200 registered participants receive a shirt and a gift bag. Packet pickup details are to be announced.
Race courses will be explained on race day and cones will be placed along the route. Swift Timing provides race timing using disposable timing chips attached to race bibs during packet pickup.
Strollers are allowed but should start at the back of the field. Pets are not allowed on the course; exceptions for certified service animals are considered on a case by case basis and participants with a service animal should contact the Race Director. Age group categories are provided for both male and female entrants and include 10 and under, 11–14, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70 and over.
