About the Event
The Thousand Islands Triathlon & Runs takes place on August 9, 2026 at Centeen Park in Brockville, Ontario. The run course features a notable landmark: it passes through Canada's oldest railway tunnel, which is 500 meters long and features lights and music.
Distances
Several multisport and running events are offered:
- Olympic Triathlon: 1500m swim, 40km bike, 10km run.
- Sprint Triathlon: 750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run.
- Try a Tri (16+): 200m swim, 20km bike, 2.5km run.
- Olympic Swim Cycle: 1500m swim, 40km bike.
- Sprint Duathlon: 5km run, 20km bike, 2.5km run.
- 10K Run.
- 5K Run.
Practical Information
The bike course is open to traffic. Participation is restricted to ages 16 and over for events involving the bike. Registration includes a personalized race bib, a swim cap, professional timing, post-race snacks, and race photography. Podium prizes are awarded to the top three male, female, and non-binary finishers in each event.
Bib pickup is available the day before, August 8th, as well as on the event morning at Centeen Park. Deadlines are in place for ordering an event shirt (July 3rd) or a finisher's medal (July 11th). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
