Hamilton Day Mighty Miler
The Hamilton Day Mighty Miler is an annual event hosted by the Town of Hamilton in partnership with Catoctin Crossfit, benefiting Chasing Zero 22. It takes place on Memorial Day at Hamilton Elementary, located at 54 Kerr Street.
Participants can choose from three event options:
- Mighty Miler: A 1.5-mile run/walk/scooter/bike course through the Orchard Circle neighborhood, starting and finishing at the elementary school. An optional second loop can be completed for a 5k distance.
- Mini Murph: A challenge consisting of a 1-mile run, 50 push-ups, 50 sit-ups, 50 squats, and an additional 1-mile run.
- Mighty Murph: A challenge consisting of a 1-mile run, 100 push-ups, 200 sit-ups, 300 squats, and an additional 1-mile run.
The event encourages a patriotic theme, suggesting participants dress in red, white, and blue. Prizes will be awarded for first-place finishers, "Most Patriotic," "Most Spirited - Enthusiastic - Encouraging," "Most Dedicated," and "Best Group Theme." Participants are encouraged to arrive by 7:30 AM for pre-race activities. After the race, light fare, games, music, and dancing are provided before participants head to the town's Hamilton Day Parade. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
