Halloween Spooktacular
Halloween Spooktacular takes place in El Moro Canyon within Crystal Cove State Park near Laguna Beach, California on October 31, 2026. The event is organized by Sunshine Trail Racing.
The course is a 4 mile loop with approximately 700 feet of vertical gain per loop. Detailed maps and turn-by-turn directions are provided for the course.
El Moro Canyon offers a rugged inland running and hiking environment with a seasonal stream, diverse vegetation, and expansive ocean views from its ridges. The route includes sustained climbs and ridgeline descents that lead to ocean outlooks from higher sections of the course.
This event is USATF sanctioned and is a participating race in the Southern California UltraRunner's Grand Prix Series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
