Halloween Hustle
The Halloween Hustle takes place at Crossroads Village and Huckleberry Railroad in Flint, Michigan. This event coincides with the 50th anniversary of the historic venue and offers a variety of distances for runners and walkers.
The event features several distance options:
- Half Marathon (The Halloween Half)
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk (Competitive and Non-Competitive divisions)
- Kids Trick or Trot (1/4 mile and 1/2 mile)
The 5K course consists of two loops through the decorated historic village on improved gravel and dirt roads. The Half Marathon begins with one lap through the village before moving onto the Flint River/Iron Belle Trail. This longer route provides views of Bluebell Beach, Mott Lake, Stepping Stone Falls, and wooded county landscapes.
Participants in the 5K and Half Marathon receive a long sleeve tech shirt and a 4-inch finisher's medal inspired by Crossroads Village. The event includes on-course aid stations and fall-themed refreshments at the finish line. A post-race beverage tent is available for those aged 21 and over. Additionally, participants can access a free ride on the village carousel with paid park admission.
Awards are presented to the top male and female runners and walkers in various age groups. Separate prizes are also awarded for different costume categories. Early packet pick-up is available the day before the event, with day-of registration and pick-up also provided on-site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
