Halloween Hustle 5K
The Halloween Hustle 5K is a community running event held in downtown Richlands, North Carolina. The race takes place on a road course that weaves through the historic downtown area. Organized by Revive Downtown Richlands, a nonprofit organization, the event serves as a fundraiser to support the economic vitality of the local district.
Participants can choose between two entry options:
- 5K Timed race
- 5K Untimed race
The event encourages participants to wear costumes, including creative, funny, or themed outfits. Registered runners receive a finisher medal, and optional event t-shirts are available for an additional fee if ordered by the specified cutoff date. Registration is required in advance, as no entries are accepted on the day of the event.
Awards are presented to the overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three participants in various age categories ranging from 9 and under to 70 and older. Additionally, recognition is given for the best overall child's costume within specific age groups. Groups of four or more people can register as a team to receive a registration discount.
