Light the Night 5K in Richlands

The Light the Night 5K is a nighttime fundraising running and walking event in Richlands, North Carolina, supporting Liberty Christian Academy. The event includes music and a glow theme and takes place on March 7, 2026 at the corner of Wilmington and Pete Jones Streets.

Distances offered:

5K: timed event, open to all ages and abilities
1 Mile: fun run/walk, not timed

Both races are described as family friendly and strollers are welcome. The event includes awards for the 5K only. Overall male and female winners will be recognized in first through third place. Youth age groups with first through third place awards are 3-6, 7-9, 10-13, and 14-19 years. Adult age group awards with first through third place cover 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and up.

Registration guarantees a T shirt if completed before Thursday, February 20; extra T shirts will not be available after that date. Entry fees increase after March 6: the 5K is listed at $30 before March 6 and $35 on March 7; the 1 Mile is listed at $15 before March 6 and $20 on March 7.
