Halloween Hustle 5K - Johnston City
The Halloween Hustle 5K is set for October 31, 2026, with the start and finish at Linemen’s Lounge, 100 E Broadway Blvd, Johnston City, Illinois. The event is a timed 5K run/walk with official race timing provided by So iLL Racing. Costumes are encouraged and a post-race costume contest will take place inside Linemen’s Lounge.
The course is marked and supported with water stations and volunteers. The first mile follows East Broadway; the remainder proceeds down Jefferson Avenue to the high school, loops around the Scout Cabin, and returns along the same route to Linemen’s Lounge. Linemen’s Lounge will provide parking and restrooms and will open early for the event. Water and Gatorade will be available on site.
Registration for the 5K opens July 16, 2026 and closes October 11, 2026. The early registration fee is $30 and will increase to $35 after October 10, 2026. Registering before October 10 helps ensure availability of a custom event T shirt; extras may be limited and size is not guaranteed.
A separate Bar Crawl Fundraiser is associated with the event; its registration opens July 16 and closes November 1, 2026, and includes exclusive deals at participating locations. Day of the race participants can pick up an armband at Linemen’s Lounge for food and drink specials at Linemen’s, Danny Boys, and The Moonshine Run.
