Halloween Hustle 5K - Johnston City
The event takes place on October 31, 2026 at Linemen's Lounge, 100 E Broadway Blvd, Johnston City, Illinois. It includes a 5K Fun Run/Walk of approximately 3.1 Miles and a separate Bar Crawl event with exclusive deals at participating locations (Linemen’s, Moonshine Run, Danny Boys).
Registration for the 5K opens July 16, 2026 and closes October 11, 2026; the listed registration fee is $25 and the fee increases to $30 after October 10, 2026. Registering before October 10 ensures a custom event T-shirt, though sizes are not guaranteed. Bar Crawl registration opens July 17, 2026 and closes November 1, 2026 with a registration fee of $20.
Linemen's Lounge will provide parking and restrooms, will open early for the event, and will supply water and Gatorade. The course starts and finishes at Linemen's Lounge. The first mile runs along East Broadway, then the route proceeds down Jefferson Avenue to the high school, loops around the Scout Cabin, and returns along the same path. Roads will be marked and there will be water stations and volunteers along the course. A racing timer will be used at the finish line but no official chip timing will be provided.
Costumes are encouraged and a costume contest will be held inside Linemen's Lounge after the Fun Run. The event is family friendly and children are welcome. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
