About the race
Halloween Howl - Saskatoon is a community costume run and walk held at Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park & Zoo on October 24, 2026. The event features multiple short distances for families and children alongside a 5 km fun run.
Available distances:
- 250 metres Kids Dash
- 1 km Family run or walk with strollers and wagons allowed
- 5 km fun run with strollers allowed
All participants receive a WICKED medal and a race bib, and there is candy on the course. Candy station counts listed for each distance in event materials: Kids Dash includes a candy station, the Family 1 km includes two candy stations, and the 5 km includes four candy stations. Prizes are awarded for best Kids Dash costume, two best family costumes, and best 5 km costume. Net proceeds support the Saskatoon Zoo Society. Children under three are not required to register. Package pick up is provided on event day. Registration opens August 21, 2026. There are no refunds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
