Organizers note seasonal safety considerations. Late October weather in Juneau can vary from sun to cold, blowing snow, or slushy conditions. Road surfaces may be slippery; participants should consider traction if snow or ice are present. The route uses the roadway shoulder; all runners should be mindful of traffic and exercise caution when passing others to maintain space while staying out of traffic.
