Halloween 5K and Kids Fun Run

The event takes place on Sunday, October 18, 2026, in Brookfield, CT, at the Brookfield Municipal Center, 100 Pocono Road. It includes a main 5K road race and a separate kids fun run.

Event details

The 5K is a USATF certified, chip-timed road race (certification #CT06013JHP) that begins and ends at the Brookfield Municipal Center. Walkers, strollers and dogs on leash are allowed. Short sleeve tee-shirts are provided to all participants. Prizes are awarded for best costumes. Awards to top runners are given in nine age groups: 8 and under; 9-13; 14-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; and 70+.

The Kids Fun Run is a 0.23 mile loop around the Town Hall Campus parking lot. Young participants are encouraged to dress up and each receives a prize.
