Half Moon Bay Beach Safety Run
The Half Moon Bay Beach Safety Run takes place on Saturday, September 19 at Pillar Point Harbor, 1 Johnson Pier, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019. The event offers multiple distances that run near the Pacific coastline and the Pillar Point Marsh Trail, with views of the harbor docks and the ocean.
Distances include:

- Kids Fun Run for ages 10 and under (1/4 mile)
A noncompetitive Kids Fun Run for children 10 and under concludes the morning. The event is organized by and benefits the Arunay Foundation. The foundation focuses on reducing beach accidents and coastal drownings by raising awareness about sneaker waves, rip currents, and other hazardous beach conditions. It works to equip beaches with life rings and to keep communities informed about unsafe conditions.
All proceeds from the event are used by the Arunay Foundation to support programs that improve beach safety. The foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
