Pirate 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon
US Road Running organizes a race series in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, featuring three distinct course lengths for participants. The event is held at 799 Pennsylvania Ave and includes a central meeting point for packet pickup, which begins 30 minutes before the scheduled start. All participants are required to register through RunSignup, as there is no registration available at the venue on the day of the race.
The competition offers three distances:
- 5K: Conducted on a 0.78-mile course, requiring two out-and-back loops.
- 10K: Conducted on a 0.78-mile course, requiring four out-and-back loops.
- Half Marathon: Conducted on a 1.09-mile course, requiring six out-and-back loops.
Each course is designed in an out-and-back format. Runners in the 5K and 10K cover a total loop distance of 1.56 miles per cycle, while Half Marathon participants cover a 2.18-mile cycle. There is a total time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes for all events.
