Event overview
The New Year event takes place on January 3, 2026, at Shamrock Park in Venice, Florida (3900 Shamrock Dr, Venice, FL 34293). The event offers the following race distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
All participants must register on RunSignup. There is no on-site registration. The event provides finisher medals and has a shirt and gear shop, a best costume feature, series points, and awards. A frequently asked questions page is available for additional information.
Course and logistics
The start is located on the path behind the Nature Center; participants should go through the Nature Center to reach the start. Bathrooms are located in the Nature Center. The course surfaces are a mix of concrete and asphalt.
Course layouts:
- The 5K and 10K use an out-and-back course of about 3.11 miles; the 5K completes that out-and-back once and the 10K twice.
- The Half Marathon uses an out-and-back course of about 3.28 miles and repeats that out-and-back four times.
