Event Overview
The US Road Running event in Augusta, Georgia, features multiple race distances including a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Marathon. The event is hosted at the Augusta Canal Trail, with the start located near Eve Street. All participants are required to register online prior to the event, as there is no on-site registration available. Packet pickup is conducted at the start location shortly before the races begin.
Course Information
The event utilizes two primary out-and-back course layouts. The 5K and 10K follow a 3.11-mile out-and-back path. For the Half Marathon and Marathon, runners follow a slightly different 3.28-mile out-and-back route. The total number of loops required depends on the selected distance:
- 5K: One out-and-back loop.
- 10K: Two out-and-back loops.
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles): Four out-and-back loops.
- Marathon (26.2 Miles): Eight out-and-back loops.
A course time limit of six hours is in place for all distances. Parking for the event is located at the trailhead and near Ann Boardman Park.
Recognition and Amenities
All finishers receive a medal upon completing their designated distance. Participants are also eligible for series points through the US Road Running program.
