Grunt Run : North Augusta, SC
The Grunt Run is a local run or walk organized to raise funds for the Augusta University ROTC program. The event offers two distance options and uses Sharon Jones Amphitheater, 1001 Center St, North Augusta, SC 29841, as the start and finish location.
Distances:
- 10 miler
- 5K
Online registration remains open until five minutes before race time. Race shirts are guaranteed for all entrants who register by October 16, 2026; additional shirts, if any, will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration pricing listed by the organizer:
- 5K and 10 miler without a shirt: $20 through race day
- 5K with a shirt: $30 through 5/1/2026, $35 through 11/7/2026, $40 through race day
- 10 miler with a shirt: $45 through 5/1/2026, $50 through 11/7/2026, $55 through race day
There are no refunds. The organizer notes a possible 30 minute weather delay if needed. Water will be available on the course at each turnaround point. Complete results will be posted online by 3 p.m. on the day of the event.
Age-group awards are provided for male and female categories: 14 and under; 15–19; 20–29; 30–39; 40–49; 50–59; 60–69; 70–79; and 80+. Awards are given to the top finisher in each age group and the top three overall male and female. Awards are based on gun times. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
