Event Overview
The US Road Running event in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, features a series of road races held at Kelly Lane Park. Participants can choose from three distinct distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
The event is organized at the park pavilion located next to the playground. All participants are required to complete their registration online prior to the event, as no on-site registration is available. Packet pickup is conducted on the morning of the race, beginning 30 minutes before the official start.
Course Details
The races utilize out-and-back routes designed for multiple repetitions. The 5K and 10K courses follow a 0.78-mile segment (1.56 miles for one full out-and-back). Runners in the 5K complete this out-and-back loop twice, while 10K runners complete it four times.
The Half Marathon uses a slightly longer 1.09-mile segment (2.18 miles for one full out-and-back). Participants in this distance complete the out-and-back loop six times. A total course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes is enforced for all distances.
Additional Features
All finishers receive a themed medal upon completion of their race. This event is part of the US Road Running series and allows participants to earn series points. Additionally, the event encourages festive participation through a best costume award, which is typically presented at the start of the race.
