Event Overview
The Luau 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon takes place at James Martin Trail Park in Gadsden, Alabama. The event is hosted behind the Gadsden Mall and features a course set on a pea gravel trail. Participants must complete their registration online as there is no on-site registration available on the day of the event. Packet pickup is conducted at the race location shortly before the start.
Course Information
The event utilizes an out-and-back format for all distances. The specific number of laps varies depending on the chosen distance:
- 5K: Participants complete the 1.56-mile out-and-back course twice.
- 10K: Participants complete the 1.56-mile out-and-back course four times.
- Half Marathon: Participants complete a 3.18-mile out-and-back course six times.
Participant Requirements and Awards
All finishers receive a medal upon completing their event. There is a total course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes for all participants. The event also includes a costume contest, and runners are encouraged to participate in theme-appropriate attire.
