Event Overview
The US Road Running event at Temple, Texas, features a series of races held at Jams Wilson Park. This event is part of the US Road Running Race Series and is open to the public; club membership is not a requirement for participation. All participants must complete their registration through the RunSignup platform prior to the start, as there is no registration available on the day of the event.
Course Information
The races take place on an out-and-back course measuring 1.56 miles in total. The path is utilized by both distances offered at the event:
- 5K: This distance involves completing the out-and-back course exactly one time.
- 10K: This distance involves completing the out-and-back course two times.
The event has a maximum time limit of two hours for all participants. Packet pickup is conducted on-site, beginning 30 minutes before the official start and concluding 10 minutes before the race begins.
Features and Recognition
All participants who cross the finish line receive a finisher medal. While not mandatory, runners are encouraged to wear costumes, and a group photograph is taken at the start of each event. An award for the best costume is presented at the beginning of the race. Additionally, participants can accrue series points for the US Road Running rankings.
