Event details
The New Year running events take place on January 3, 2026, at James Wilson Park in Temple, TX 76501. The event includes the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
- Marathon
All runners must register on RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. Prices listed for the events are $30 for the 5K, $45 for the 10K, $65 for the Half Marathon, and $90 for the Marathon. The race start location is next to the Wilson Park Recreation Center.
Courses and race information
The 5K and 10K use an out-and-back course described as 3.11 miles total for the full out-and-back. The 5K completes the out-and-back one time and the 10K completes it two times. The Half Marathon uses an out-and-back course described as 3.28 miles for the full out-and-back; the Half Marathon repeats that out-and-back four times and the Marathon repeats it eight times.
