Squirrel 5K, 10K, & 13.1M at Charlotte, NC
This event offers three road race distances held at Mallard Creek Playground across from Mallard Creek Elementary School, 9729 Mallard Creek Rd, Charlotte NC 28267. All entrants must register on RunSignup; there is no on-site registration.
Packet pickup occurs shortly before the race and ends shortly before the race starts. The course features a hill at the start and finish. A course time limit is enforced: 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Distances and fees:
- 5K: out and back 3.11 miles (one loop). Fee $30.00.
- 10K: out and back 6.22 miles (two loops). Fee $45.00.
- 13.1M: out and back 13.1 miles (four loops of 3.275 miles). Fee $65.00.
Course layouts are out and back for each distance. The 5K and 10K use a 1.56 mile segment repeated as noted; the half marathon uses a 1.64 mile segment repeated four times to reach 13.1 miles. The organizer specifies packet pickup begins 30 minutes before the race and ends 10 minutes before the race starts. Registration opening and closing dates are set per each event.
