Viking 5K, 10K, & 13.1M - Charlotte, NC
The event takes place on 01/23/2027 at Mallard Creek Playground, across from Mallard Creek Elementary School, 9729 Mallard Creek Rd, Charlotte NC 28267. Runners must register on RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. Registration fees vary by distance.
The courses are out-and-back loops with a hill located at the start and finish area. The event enforces a course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Distances offered:
- 5K out-and-back course, one loop (3.11 miles)
- 10K same out-and-back course, two loops
- 13.1 Miles out-and-back loop repeated four times
Registration fees listed for each distance are $30 for the 5K, $45 for the 10K, and $65 for the half marathon. The race uses lap counts described above for each distance and follows the mapped out-and-back routes for the 5K/10K and the half marathon.
