Race Information
The Medal Madness event is a road running competition held in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, at City Island. This event is part of the US Road Running series and offers a variety of distances for participants to choose from. All participants who complete their registered distance receive a themed finisher medal.
Packet pickup is available at the race location starting 90 minutes before the event begins and concludes 25 minutes prior to the start. All participants must register in advance through the designated online platform, as there is no on-site registration.
Distance Options
The event features four distinct race distances:
- 5K: A single lap on a 1.56-mile out-and-back course.
- 10K: Two laps on a 1.56-mile out-and-back course.
- Half Marathon: Four laps on a 1.64-mile out-and-back course.
- Marathon: Eight laps on a 1.64-mile out-and-back course.
Course Details
The race utilizes two specific out-and-back routes. The shorter loop is approximately 1.56 miles (3.11 miles round trip), while the longer loop used for the half marathon and marathon is approximately 1.64 miles (3.27 miles round trip). There is a total course time limit of 6 hours for all participants. Runners are encouraged to wear costumes, and a group photo is taken at the start of the event.
