US Road Running - Centennial Hill
The US Road Running event at Centennial Hill in Montgomery, Alabama, offers three distinct distances for participants on an asphalt course. The race is part of the US Road Running Race Series, though membership is not required for participation. All runners are required to register in advance through the online platform, as there is no registration available on the day of the event. Packet pickup is conducted on-site shortly before the start.
The event features a multi-lap out-and-back course design for all distances. Participants can choose from the following events:
- 5K: This race utilizes an out-and-back loop and requires runners to complete two laps.
- 10K: This distance follows the same loop as the 5K, with participants completing four laps.
- Half Marathon: This race follows a different out-and-back loop, requiring runners to complete six laps.
Participants have a course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes to finish their respective races. The event encourages thematic participation by hosting a contest for the best costume, though it is not mandatory. All finishers receive a themed medal upon completion of their race. The event is located at 1 Festival Drive, with parking situated in the large central lot of the park or near the Scenic Open Space. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
