Haunted 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon
The US Road Running event in Montgomery, Alabama, takes place at Centennial Hill, specifically around the Scenic Open Space. This athletic gathering offers three distinct distances for participants to choose from:
- 5K: A distance of five kilometers completed on a specific out-and-back loop.
- 10K: A ten-kilometer distance utilizing the same loop as the shorter race.
- Half Marathon: A 13.1-mile course for long-distance runners.
The 5K and 10K participants utilize a 0.78-mile course. This creates a 1.56-mile out-and-back circuit. Those participating in the 5K complete this circuit two times, while those in the 10K complete it four times. The Half Marathon uses a different 1.09-mile course, resulting in a 2.18-mile out-and-back loop that must be completed six times.
All participants are subject to a course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes. Packet pickup is conducted on the morning of the event near the large parking lot in the center of the park. Registration must be completed online prior to the event, as there is no option for on-site registration. Finisher medals are awarded to those who complete their respective courses.
