The Medal Madness 5K, 10K, & 13.1M takes place on January 24, 2026, at Appomattox River Greenway Roslyn Landing Access, 265 Charles Dimmock Parkway, Colonial Heights, VA 23834. The event is organized by US Road Running and includes the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half marathon (13.1 miles)
Courses
The 5K and 10K use an out-and-back course measuring about 3.11 miles in total; the 5K completes this course once and the 10K completes it twice. The half marathon uses a separate out-and-back course measuring about 3.275 miles; the half marathon completes that course four times. A course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes applies.
Logistics
All runners must register on RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. Packet pickup opens 30 minutes before the race and ends 10 minutes before the race. Participants are advised to park at the Appomattox River Greenway Roslyn Landing access; parking is limited. The event provides finisher medals, a shirt and gear shop, a best costume option, series points, and awards. A contact form is available for questions.
