Event
The Pirate 5K, 10K, 13.1, & 26.2 at Appomattox River takes place on April 25, 2026, in Colonial Heights, VA 23834. The event includes the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon (13.1)
- Marathon (26.2)
All runners must register on RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. Packet pickup opens 30 minutes before the race and closes 10 minutes before the race.
Course and logistics
Races use out-and-back courses accessed from Appomattox River Greenway Roslyn Landing Access. Parking is at the Appomattox River Greenway Roslyn Landing and is limited. Course layouts are described as follows:
- The 5K/10K course is listed as 1.56M one way and 3.11M round trip; the 5K completes the course once and the 10K twice.
- The Half Marathon/Marathon course is listed as 1.64M one way and 3.275M round trip; the Half Marathon completes the course four times and the Marathon eight times.
The event has a 6-hour course time limit. Finisher medals, a shirt and gear shop, a best costume recognition, series points, and awards are listed as part of the event materials.
