Memory Lane Halewood 5k
The Memory Lane Halewood 5k is a monthly race organised by Knowsley Harriers AC. The series has run since 2011 and uses a single sign up for all Halewood Series races, including the Halewood 5k, Fab Four and Junior Mile. Registration is online only and entrants must have their details submitted by 6pm on the day before the race to collect a number and pay the required donation on arrival.
The event is free to enter but requires a mandatory minimum donation of £3 to the chosen charity for the year. The chosen charity for 2026 is Memory Lane Dementia Support.
The course is an out and back route on the Liverpool Loop Line, starting and finishing near the Environment Centre in Halewood, Okell Drive, L26 7XB. The surface is all tarmac and the course is described as fast and flat. Organisers provide parking, baggage storage, toilets and indoor registration, and publish online results.
The Halewood Series runs across 12 monthly races. For series awards, runners must compete in at least six races and their six best finishing times count towards the overall points. Trophies are awarded to top individual male and female champions and to winners in veteran categories, with awards typically presented in February of the following year.
