Hale Harvest 5K Run
Hale Harvest 5K Run is held at Hale Farm and Village in Akron, Ohio. The run is part of the Harvest Festival weekend, which includes activities on October 3 and 4 and on October 10 and 11.
Event distances include:
- 5K (3.1 Miles)
- Kids Dash
The course winds through the village, sugar bush, pastures, and scenic trails and uses paved, grass, and gravel surfaces. The event benefits InHale, an educational initiative that uses historic and natural resources to promote sustainable agriculture, civic leadership, education, and recreation. Awards for the top three finishers overall and for the top male and female finishers in each category are hand crafted by Hale Farm and Village artisans.
Registration opens July 1. Early registration pricing and a higher race day fee are noted for the 5K, and a separate fee applies for the Kids Dash. Participants receive a race bib and admission to Hale Farm for the day. The 5K includes an official race t shirt while the Kids Dash includes a post race donut.
Strollers are permitted but the mix of gravel and grass paths may not be stroller friendly. No pets are allowed on the grounds except for service animals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
