Hal Canfield Memorial Mile

The Hal Canfield Memorial Mile takes place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, in Knoxville, Tennessee. The event is held at the Tom Black Track on Volunteer Blvd.

There are two separate mile race events:

Women's Mile
Men's Mile

Proceeds from the race support the Hal Canfield Endowment Scholarship fund. This scholarship is awarded annually to local graduating high school athletes for college tuition, honoring Knoxville Track Club founder Hal Canfield.

The registration fee is $15. There is no registration on the day of the event. Awards are given on race day to the top 10 male and female finishers in each of the following categories: Open, Masters, and Grandmasters.

The event is part of the 2026 KTC Grand Prix Team Competition schedule, with points awarded in various categories and age groups. Complete results will be available online after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
