Event overview
Hair Peace and Hope 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for October 24, 2026, at Miramar Regional Park in Miramar, FL. The event is the ninth annual edition and takes place on a certified 5K course. It is hosted by Women of H.O.P.E., a not-for-profit organization (section 501(c)(3)). The run/walk raises funds to provide hair prostheses (wigs) and other support for people affected by Mixed-Connective Tissue Disease and other autoimmune conditions that can cause extreme hair loss. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation options.
Registration, race items and schedule
There are three registration categories: General, Student, and Virtual. Posted prices are General $25 (previously listed at $35), Student $20, and Virtual $35. Student registration is open to ages 5 to 18. General registration opens February 6, 2026; student and virtual registration open January 26, 2026. Race t-shirts and finisher medals are guaranteed for the first 300 registrants; shirt sizes are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and are not guaranteed. The published event schedule lists registration opening, race announcements and the national anthem, a warm-up, the race itself, and an awards and podium presentation.
