Hair Peace and Hope 5K Run/Walk
The Hair Peace and Hope 5K Run/Walk is a community fundraiser held on October 24, 2026 at Miramar Regional Park in Miramar, Florida. The event offers an in person 5K on a certified course at the park and a virtual 5K option that participants may complete on their own schedule.
There are separate registration categories with different fees, including a student category for ages 6 through 17. Registration fees vary by category. Race t shirts and finisher medals are guaranteed for the first 300 registrants; shirt sizes are allocated on a first come, first served basis and are not guaranteed.
The event supports people with Mixed Connective Tissue Disease and other autoimmune conditions through the parent organization Women of H.O.P.E. Its activities include providing hair prosthesis and expanded assistance such as medical aid, care, and emotional support for those affected by these conditions.
Virtual participants receive a mailed t shirt and medal after they submit proof of completion, such as a screenshot from a running app. Awards and a podium presentation are part of the event schedule. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
