Hair Peace and Hope 5K Run/Walk
Hair Peace and Hope 5K Run/Walk is a community event held on October 24, 2026, at Miramar Regional Park in Miramar, Florida. The event marks the 10th annual edition and uses a certified course at the park.
The event supports people living with Mixed Connective Tissue Disease and other autoimmune conditions such as lupus, scleroderma, and rheumatoid arthritis. Its mission includes providing hair prostheses for hair loss and assistance with medical copays, transportation, and wellness needs.
There are three registration options: general registration, a student registration for ages 6 through 17, and a virtual 5K. Listed registration fees are $25.00 for general registration, $20.00 for student registration, and $35.00 for the virtual option. General registration opens February 6, 2026 and closes August 9, 2026. Student and virtual registration open January 26, 2026 and close on the day of the event, October 24, 2026.
Race t-shirts and finisher medals are guaranteed for the first 500 registrants, with shirt sizes allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. The virtual option allows participants to complete the 5K remotely and receive a shirt and medal after submitting proof of distance and time.
