Event Overview
The Hair Peace and Hope 5K Run/Walk is an annual event supporting individuals with autoimmune conditions, particularly Mixed-Connective Tissue Disease and others that can cause hair loss. The event is organized by Women of H.O.P.E. (Health Occupations Promoting Education) and aims to raise funds for hair prostheses (wigs) and other support resources.
Event Details
The in-person event will take place at Miramar Regional Park in Miramar, Florida, on a certified course. Participants can choose between running or walking the 5K distance. A virtual event option is also available, where participants complete the distance on their own time and submit proof to receive their items.
Three registration categories are offered:
- Hair Peace and Hope 5K Run/Walk - General Registration
- Hair Peace and Hope 5K Run/Walk - Student Registration (for ages 5 to 18)
- Virtual Hair Peace and Hope
The first 300 registrants are guaranteed a race t-shirt and a finisher medal. Shirt sizes are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
