Hair of the Bear 15K & 5K
The Hair of the Bear 15K & 5K takes place on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort in Shawnee On Delaware, PA. The event begins and ends on the Shawnee Inn and ShawneeCraft Brewing Company property and includes trail and road sections.
Distances
- 15K Run - about 5 miles on the McDade Trail plus 4 miles of paved road
- 5K Run/Walk - 90% paved, on Shawnee Inn property and neighboring roads
The 15K has a 2.5 hour time limit. Water stations and course marshals are posted at important course locations. Walkers and participants of all ages are welcome but must be registered for safety.
Post race amenities for finishers include a brunch buffet and a complimentary ShawneeCraft beer for participants age 21 and over; soda is available for those under 21. Live music is held in the brewery after the race and award medals are presented to the top three overall finishers and to age group winners (14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, and every 10 years thereafter).
Event registration includes a custom shirt in multiple sizes with a paid upgrade option for long sleeve, a custom finisher medal, and a custom beer glass. Free downloadable race photos are provided.
