About the Hainesport Endurance Run
The Hainesport Endurance Run is a multi-day running event held over a weekend in October. It takes place at Hainesport Township Park in New Jersey. The event is sanctioned and certified by USA Track & Field. A portion of each entry fee is donated to Hainesport Township.
Event Format and Course
The event features several timed and distance-based formats. Participants can choose from:
- 12-hour events (on Saturday or Sunday)
- 24-hour events (on Saturday or Sunday)
- A 100-mile race with a 30-hour time limit
- A 48-hour event
- Relay team options for the 12-hour and 24-hour events
All events are run on a paved, flat, and certified loop course. The primary loop is approximately 0.9913 miles long. An alternate, slightly longer loop may be used if conditions require. Runners complete the loop in a counter-clockwise direction.
Aid and Facilities
A single, fully stocked aid station is located near the start/finish area. It offers a variety of food and drinks, including hot items, snacks, and vegan options. Heated restroom facilities with running water are available on the course.
Each participant can set up a personal area near the start/finish. Space is available for personal gear, tables, chairs, and tents. Portable heaters are allowed, and electricity is available at shared outlets. Overnight camping before or after the event is not permitted.
Rules and Awards
The event follows USATF rules. Pacers are not allowed, and the use of trekking poles may affect record eligibility. Laps are timed electronically, and results are submitted for USATF, IAU, and GOMU record purposes.
All participants who do not complete 100 miles receive a medal. Those who achieve 100 miles or more earn a special buckle. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
