Hail Mary Mile
The Hail Mary Mile is a one-mile, point-to-point charity race held on July 25, 2026, as part of the St. Mary’s Festival in Dennison, Ohio. The course runs down historic Second Street with the start at the beginning of 2nd Street Extension. Pre-race registration is located at the corner of 2nd Street and Sherman. The event includes two divisions by age: a youth division for ages 13 and under and an open division for ages 14 and up. Entry fees are listed at $20 for the youth race and $30 for the open race. Participants who register by July 16 are guaranteed a race shirt. Registration opens May 12 and closes July 23, 2026.
Awards are planned for top finishers. The youth division will have awards for the top three male and top three female finishers. The open division will award top three overall male and female placings and cash prizes of $150 for first, $75 for second, and $30 for third for both males and females. Additional awards will be given to the top three male and top three female competitors aged over 55.
The event is presented by the Dennison Knights of Columbus and will direct proceeds to support St. Mary’s Church and School. After the race, the St. Mary’s Festival will offer food, beverages, games, and live music. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
