Hadrian's Wall Half Marathon 2026
The Hadrian's Wall Half Marathon returns for its sixth edition in 2026. The event is organised as a walk on Saturday 10 October and a run on Sunday 11 October. The half marathon distance is 13.5 miles.
The course starts at Housesteads Roman Fort on the Military Road and follows the Hadrian's Wall Trail Path for about 6 miles. Runners then descend to Newbrough, pass through woodland to join the Tyne Riverside Trail Path, and complete the final 5 miles on flat terrain into Hexham, finishing in Tyne Green Country Park.
This is an A to B event. Runners must book the shuttle bus to the start or arrange their own drop-off at Housesteads. Bag drop is available at registration and all bags are transported to the finish. Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North.
One well controlled dog per person is allowed; dogs must remain on a lead. Public car parking is available in Hexham town. All finishers receive an event t-shirt, a medal and a snack. The event will support Heel and Toe Children's Charity, and donations can be made at registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
