Hadrian's Wall Half Marathon 2026 : sixth edition
The Hadrian's Wall Half Marathon is a trail event held in October 2026 with a walkers day on Saturday 10 October and a runners day on Sunday 11 October. The route begins at Housesteads Roman Fort, follows the Hadrian's Wall Trail Path for about six miles, descends to Newbrough, passes through woodland to the Tyne Riverside Trail Path, and finishes in Tyne Green Country Park in Hexham. The final five miles of the route are flat.
Distance is Half Marathon – 13.5 miles. The event is an A-B format; runners must book the shuttle bus to the start or arrange their own drop-off at Housesteads. Bag drop is available at registration and all bags are transported to the finish.
The event is cani-cross friendly with one well-controlled dog per person allowed; dogs must remain on a lead at all times. Live chip-timing is provided by Timing Up North. Public car parking is available in Hexham.
All finishers receive an event T-shirt, a medal, and a snack. The listed entry fee is £34.00. The event will support Heel and Toe Children's Charity and donations can be made during entry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
