Route and logistics

The event starts at Housesteads Roman Fort on Hadrian’s Wall and finishes at Tyne Green Country Park in Hexham. The course follows the Hadrian’s Wall Trail Path for about 6 miles, then descends to Newbrough, crosses woodland to the Tyne Riverside Trail Path, and includes a final 5 miles that are described as flat into Hexham. The distance is a half marathon.

This is an A-B event. Runners must book the shuttle bus to the start or arrange their own drop-off at Housesteads. Staggered starts are used with participants set off in groups of 75–100; start order is allocated by estimated finishing time. A bag drop is available at registration and all bags are transported to the finish.

One well-controlled dog per person is allowed, and dogs must be on a lead at all times. All finishers receive an event T-shirt, a medal and a snack. Public car parking is available in Hexham. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
