Hades Hill Fell Race

Hades Hill Fell Race, run by Rochdale Harriers & A.C., is typically the season finale. The route starts at the Red Lion in Whitworth and covers about 8 km (5 miles) with roughly 360 m (1,181 ft) of ascent. After an uphill start, the course levels and then delivers a rollercoaster run over Brown Wardle, Middle Hill and Hades Hill, finishing above the start line.

A strict cut-off requires reaching the top of Brown Wardle within 24 minutes. Participants must carry FRA kit (waterproof full body cover with taped seams and hood, hat, gloves, map, compass, whistle, emergency food). Entry is on the day, with FRA members £5 and others £8.
