Gypsum Daze 5K Run & Walk : Gypsum, CO (July 18, 2026)
The Gypsum Daze 5K Run & Walk is a long-running community event in Gypsum, now in its 31st year. The event is staged at the Mountain Recreation Gypsum Rec Center on Lundgren Boulevard and uses a loop course that starts and finishes at the corner of Valley Road and Lundgren Boulevard beneath the Gypsum Daze Arch.
Entrants receive a swag bag that includes a Gypsum Daze logo running belt and other items; all participants also receive a hat. There is no early bib pickup; all runners and walkers must report to the tent next to the start on the morning of the race to collect bib numbers.
The route is marked and staffed throughout the course, and there are no water or aid stations on course. Water and light snacks are provided at the finish area. All finishers are eligible for a prize drawing and must be present to win.
Awards and prizes include giveaways for all, overall male and female 1st through 3rd place awards, and awards in the following age groups: 18 and under, 19 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 and over. An awards ceremony follows the race; ribbons and plaques not claimed at the event may be picked up at Town Hall during the postrace pickup period.
