About the race
The GURLEY LIONS CHALLENGE 5K is scheduled for 03/06/2027 in Gurley, Alabama, at 173 Wood Street. The event is a community 5-kilometer running race held at Madison County Elementary School.
Pre-registration opens on 02/06/2027 and closes on 03/05/2027; the registration fee is listed as $30.00 and entry fees are not refundable. On-site registration is available the morning of the event. T-shirts and race numbers will be available at Fleet Feet the day before the race and at the Madison County Elementary School gymnasium on race day from 7:00 to 7:50 am. T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 100 registered runners. Post-race refreshments will be provided. Walkers are encouraged to participate.
Awards will be given to top male and female finishers in the Overall and Masters categories, and to the top three finishers in each age division. Proceeds support local programs of the Gurley Lions Club, including eye exams and glasses, HEALS Clinic, CASA, the Gurley Police Department, prescription drug assistance, the Gurley Public Library, college scholarships, and other local charitable efforts.
