Event overview
Cherokee Recreation and Parks will host the 20th Annual Guns N' Hoses 5K on February 14, 2026, at Hobgood Park in Woodstock, Georgia. The event includes an in-person 5K run/walk and virtual 5K options. Participants choose a team to represent - Guns or Hoses - and a portion of registration fees is donated to the selected team’s designated charity. The Guns team supports The Frank Reynolds Charities. The Hoses team supports the Goshen Valley Boys Ranch. Dogs on leash are allowed on the course. The race is a certified qualifier for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race.
Logistics and awards
Packet pick-up is available at the Woodstock Recreation Center and on race day at Hobgood Park. Shirts will not be mailed; shirts must be picked up during early pick-up or on race morning while supplies last. Day-of registration is offered at the event. Awards include overall male and female winners and medals for the top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups, including 10 and under, 11-15, 16-20, and continuing by five-year bands through 71+. The event is planned to proceed rain or shine unless officials determine conditions are unsafe. Registration fees vary by registration period and by team or virtual entry.
