Gunpowder Plod

The Gunpowder Plod 2025 is a multi-distance running event held at York Knavesmire, featuring a 5k loop course mostly on paved service tracks with about 1k on grass. Runners can choose to complete 1, 2, or 3 loops on the day, with no time cut-offs, making it suitable for all levels. A family fun run of 1 mile on grass precedes the main event, welcoming parents and friends to join.

The race headquarters at Hamilton Panthers Clubhouse offers facilities including toilets and refreshments. Participants receive themed medals, chocolate treats, and homemade cake at the finish.
