Gunpowder Plod

The Gunpowder Plod 2025 is a multi-distance running event held at York Knavesmire, offering participants the choice to complete one, two, or three laps of a mostly paved 5k loop with about 1k on grass per lap. Suitable for runners aged nine and above, the event welcomes both experienced and new runners with no time cut-offs. A family fun run on a 1-mile grass loop precedes the main race, encouraging participation from all ages.

The race headquarters at Hamilton Panthers Clubhouse provides facilities including toilets and refreshments. All runners receive themed medals, chocolate treats, and homemade cake at the finish.
