Event overview
The Gulf Coast Veterans Association 5K Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, November 8, 2025, in Pass Christian, Mississippi. The race is the second annual edition and is based at War Memorial Park near the intersection of Highway 90 and Flietas Avenue. The event includes multiple distance options:
- 5K Run
- Heavy Load 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run

Entry fees listed are $35 for the 5K and Heavy Load 5K and $20 for the 1 Mile Fun Run. Registration closes November 7, 2025. The Heavy Load category requires participants to carry a minimum weight: women at least 12 lbs and men at least 20 lbs, using a tactical vest, plates, or rucksack; top male and female finishers in that category are awarded. Awards are given by age group and overall male and female finishers. Participants receive finisher shirts, and food and a post-race gathering are provided at the park. Ninety-five percent of proceeds and donations are designated to benefit veterans across the Mississippi Gulf Coast. A Veteran’s Day parade is scheduled to occur after the event.
