Guinness Celtic 5K
The Guinness Celtic 5K is a St Patrick's Day themed running event in Worcester, Massachusetts, held at Elm Park with start and finish on Park Avenue near the intersection with Highland Street. The event takes place on March 14, 2027, and is scheduled before the annual St Patrick's Day Parade. A beer garden at the finish line provides a place to view the parade after the race.
The event program includes the following distances:
- 5K
- Kids Leprechaun Run, ages 12 and under, distance approximately 1/4 mile
- Virtual 3.1 miles option
Registration for the 5K is offered with or without an optional Guinness Celtic 5K medal; that medal is separate from the Greendale Physical Therapy Worcester Triple Crown finisher's medal. The Triple Crown is a 3-race 5K series comprising the Worcester Jingle 5K on December 6, 2026, the Guinness Celtic 5K on March 14, 2027, and the Worcester Cinco K on May 2, 2027. Participants who complete the full Triple Crown receive a finisher's medal at the Worcester Cinco K finish line.
Pre race packet pickup is available Friday, March 12 (noon to 5pm) and Saturday, March 13 (10am to 5pm) at Sneakerama, 12 Lake Ave, Worcester. Race day packet pickup is on Park Ave next to Elm Park from 9:00am to 11:00am. T shirts are not guaranteed for walk up registrations. No pets are allowed; service animals are permitted. Awards include top three overall, age group winners, and a team award based on chip time. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
