Guildford Santa Fun Run
The event is a charity fun run held at Stoke Park in Guildford. It offers two distances:
- 2.5k
- 5k
The 2.5k route is fully accessible. The event is family oriented and includes a small selection of stalls, food and drink, a Santa's Grotto, and hot drinks. The event is not chip timed; participants who want a time are asked to use their own watch or tracking device. Santa t-shirts are available to purchase and can be collected in advance or on the day. Dogs are allowed if kept on a short, handheld, non-extendable lead and at the side of the participant.
Location, transport and fundraising
The main event area and HQ are by the football pitches near Stoke Park Nightingale Nursery, Nightingale Road, Guildford, GU1 1ER, close to the skate park. Parking options include Guildford College student car park (free at weekends) and Lido Road car park (4 hours free, ticket required). Bus routes serving the area include 34 and 35; routes 200 and 300 serve nearby Park & Ride stops. Guildford (London Road) Station is a short walk, and Guildford Train Station is a longer walk.
The event raises money for Challengers, a charity that provides play and leisure for local disabled young people. Kelly’s Storage covers event costs so 100% of entry donations go to the charity.
