The North Downs Ultra Challenge takes place on Saturday 1 August 2026, with a Guildford basecamp and start/finish at Loseley Park. The event uses a looped route on the North Downs Way and surrounding Surrey countryside. Distances on offer include:
- 50 km (loop, ~830 m elevation)
- 25 km (loop, ~530 m elevation)
- 10 km (loop, ~230 m elevation)
There is also a point-to-point option covering ~24 km from Loseley Park to Milton Court near Dorking (listed as ~24 km, ~600 m elevation). Camping and adjacent university-style en suite accommodation are offered as bookable extras. Shuttle buses, transfers, and parking are available for participants and supporters.
On-course support, categories and entry
The route is fully signed with waymarkers and GPS maps in the event app. Rest stops are provided roughly every 12.5 km, with major stops at about 25 km and 50 km; stops include food, hot drinks, water, energy drinks and facilities. Medical staff, podiatrists and massage teams are available at rest stops and along the route. The event offers category options including an Ultra March (timed walking category), a new Trailblazerz category for faster runners, and a Solo Challengers start time. Entry may be self-funded, charity-funded, or mixed; published self-fund fees for 2026 are £139 for the 50 km, £89 for the 25 km, and £49 for the 10 km.
