Guernsey County Crossroads Marathon & Half-marathon
The event takes place on May 16, 2026, in Cambridge, Ohio, at the trailhead located at 134 Southgate Pkwy. The program offers multiple timed running distances with chip timing provided by Muskingum Multisports.
Distances:
- Marathon - 26.2 Miles
- Half-marathon - 13.1 Miles
- 5k Race - 3.1 Miles
The marathon and half-marathon route passes through historic areas of Cambridge, moves north to Northwood Cemetery, follows a mix of flat roads and a few hills, then uses the concrete and paved Great Guernsey Trail for an eight-mile stretch to Lore City before returning to a finish area near the historic Guernsey County courthouse. There are multiple water/Gatorade stations and first aid points, with emergency services on standby along the course. Time limits are 8 hours for the marathon and 4 hours for the half-marathon.
Awards include trophies for the top three overall finishers, age-group medals for the top three in each listed category, and custom finisher medals for all finishers. Immediate electronic results are available for participants who opt in, plus on-site results kiosks and live published results. Proceeds support the Guernsey County Community Development’s Great Guernsey Trail and the Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce. A finish line festival is provided by Cambridge Main Street.
Early packet pickup and race day packet pickup are offered. Race packets include a T-shirt with race logo, event swag, a beer ticket for participants aged 21 and over, and an energy drink for those under 21.
