The Guernsey County Crossroads Marathon & Half-marathon takes place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, in Cambridge, Ohio. The event features three race distances: a marathon, a half marathon, and a 5k.
Course Details
The marathon and half marathon courses start in historic downtown Cambridge. They pass through historic areas, go north to Northwood Cemetery, and feature flat roads along with a few hills. A significant portion of the route uses the concrete and paved Great Guernsey Trail, which extends for eight miles toward Lore City, Ohio. Runners turn around at the trail's end and return to the finish line near the historic Guernsey County courthouse. The event provides multiple water, Gatorade, and first aid stations along the course.
Event Features
The race is chip-timed, with timing services provided by Muskingum Multisports. Proceeds support the Guernsey County Community Development's Great Guernsey Trail and the Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce. A Finish Line Festival is held after the race.
Registration and Logistics
Registration fees are listed as $75 for the marathon, $55 for the half marathon, and $40 for the 5k, with prices increasing after May 15, 2026. Early packet pickup is available on Friday, May 15th, at 905 Wheeling Ave in Cambridge. Race day registration and packet pickup occur from 5:30 AM to 6:30 AM at 134 Southgate Pkwy in Cambridge. Race packets include a T-shirt with the race logo, swag, and a beverage ticket. All participants registered by April 30th receive a free T-shirt.
Awards
Trophies are awarded to the top three overall finishers. Medals are given to the top three finishers in various age categories. Every individual who completes the race receives a custom-made finisher's medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
