Guernsey County Crossroads Marathon and Half-marathon

The Guernsey County Crossroads Marathon takes place in Cambridge, Ohio. This event is a continuation of a spring race tradition established in 2018. The course is designed to showcase historic downtown Cambridge and the Great Guernsey Trail. Participants can choose between three different distances:

  • Marathon
  • Half-marathon
  • 5k Race

The route for the longer distances takes runners through historic areas of Cambridge and north toward Northwood Cemetery. The terrain includes a mix of flat roads and some hills. A significant portion of the race occurs on the Great Guernsey Trail, a paved and concrete path that extends eight miles to Lore City. After reaching the turnaround point, runners return to the finish line located near the historic Guernsey County courthouse. Multiple water, Gatorade, and first aid stations are positioned along the course, with emergency services on standby.

All participants receive a custom-made finisher medal featuring a unique logo. Professional chip timing is provided for all events. Following the race, a festival is held at the finish line. Registered participants receive a race packet that includes a T-shirt and additional items. Trophies are awarded to the top three overall finishers, and medals are provided to the top three finishers in various age categories ranging from 14-under to 70+.
