Great Links Tor Flyer - Fell Race
Great Links Tor Flyer is an evening fell race on Dartmoor scheduled for 19 August 2026. The senior course starts and finishes at the Fox and Hounds Hotel near Bridestow/Lydford and is part of the Dartmoor Fell Series.
The event is licensed by the FRA and supported by North Dartmoor Search and Rescue. Junior courses will be fully marked and marshaled; the senior course will be only partially marked on the Gt Nodden descent. The event will be limited to a maximum of 150 competitors. Mandatory or recommended kit for the senior race includes a whistle, hat, headtorch and a light rainproof top.
Distances and climbs:
- Adults: 7.5 km with 380 m ascent
- U14/U16 youth: 3.6 km with 220 m ascent
- U12: 2.1 km with 140 m ascent
- U10: 1.0 km loop
Under 18 and U20 athletes may run in the senior event; the minimum age for the senior race is 16 years at year end. Entry fees are listed for seniors, U18/U20 and juniors, and a closing date for entries is given as 18 August 2026. Prize awards are planned for overall and age-group placings, and toilet and refreshment facilities will be available at the pub after the races.
